Our Mission

Mira’s mission is to benefit children’s education worldwide through funding innovative social projects. Our vision is to empower every child to reach his or her potential by making education universally accessible.

Who Are We?

Mira’s founders met in Ghana (West Africa) while working at an NGO which trains college graduates to become software entrepreneurs. With a joint passion for education equality, they quickly realized the need for universally accessible education and saw that they had the expertise to combine human and financial resources to make it happen. Their experiences taught them that to have a significant impact on access to education, a new non-profit would have to use both technological innovation and social entrepreneurship. Thus, Mira Scholars Foundation was born. 

Mira is a fresh way to fund projects online to benefit children around the world. Organizations with projects that work come together at Mira to showcase themselves and get funding support from the global online community.

Mira forwards 100% of the funds raised to the projects’ organizers. They, in turn, use these donations to implement their plans the way they described when registering with Mira. Mira provides to its NGO partners the tools to ensure that they update you with stories and photos of the communities which you are directly impacting. Mira then send its volunteers and staff to monitor and evaluate the projects, bringing back reports from the field.
